# Network Efficiency and High Throughput

The CAGA Network employs a hybrid Layer-1/2 architecture, combining the security guarantees of a Layer-1 blockchain with the scalability and efficiency of a Layer-2 execution environment. This design allows CAGA to achieve exceptional transaction throughput and reduced latency, making it ideal for applications that depend on near real-time data processing and financial settlements.

### **High Transaction Throughput (TPS)**

The network reliably processes up to 560 transactions per second. This capacity is achieved due to several factors:

* **Efficient Block Verification**: Due to the limited and trusted set of validators, blocks can be verified and propagated much faster compared to PoW or PoS networks.
* **Optimized Network Protocol**: The Caga network utilizes a highly optimized version of the Geth protocol (go-geth), which is specifically tuned for higher throughput.

### **Reduced Gas Costs**

* **Minimized Validation Overhead:** PoA's pre-selected validator model lowers the computational resources required for transaction validation.
* **Optimized Fee Structure**: CAGA's fee structure is designed to maintain low gas costs, facilitating cost-effective transactions even during network growth.
